About Perla
Perla is a physiotherapist whose work centres on children — and on the healing potential of water. She has spent her career building two parallel streams of practice: advanced paediatric neurological care for children with cerebral palsy and other neurodevelopmental conditions, and aquatic therapy for adults living with chronic pain.
In her paediatric work, Perla uses MAES therapy and NDT in close combination, often with aquatic work woven in. Her approach is to build a strong connection with each child she works with — she believes those relationships do half of the therapeutic work, and she will tell you that’s where she learns the most too.
With adults in chronic pain, she has seen the heated pool open a door that land-based care has not. The water creates room to move where pain has been closing things down — and that, repeated over time, is often where progress starts.

In their words
Highly recommend this practice, I had a serious shoulder and neck injury, but after a session with Pearla and her team, the pain has disappeared and hasn't come back since. The facilities are neat and hygienic and there is safe parking. Well done Pearla and team!
